The arbitrage of merit

A meritocracy, a system in which talent is attributed on the basis of achievement rather than prejudice or conformity, can only come to full bloom and produce sustainable economic results in a true free-market (not to be confused with a free-for-all).

And despite many audacious claims to the opposite, no country in the world today deploys economic principles that from the top stimulate the birth of and enforce consistent compliance to free-markets.

And without a free-market, a meritocracy essential to reward the outlier performance that feeds a renewal economy can simply not exist. Hence the ballooning economic problems we face.
